For Susan Diaz, Hairstylist/Makeup Artist, growing up a Latina and working as a hairstylist in one of the biggest industries in the world is tough. Especially in a city that has two and three salons on every other block, but that didn't stop Susan from chasing her dream. She’s proven to be a lady that isn't shy from hard work and dedication, not to mention that she comes from a bloodline of bosses. Her father for one, owned over five pharmacies in her homeland Mexico City and as a young girl Susan learned the trade of beauty by assisting at a hair salon, located across the street from her home. Her passion drove her to New York City, where she now owns "Susan's Hair Salon" in Woodside, Queens. Some may even say that going to the salon is like going to therapy. You go in a hot mess and come out feeling good about yourself. That's exactly the type of energy you feel when you walk into "Susan's Hair Salon. Susan is a true example of a woman who has followed her dream and continues to push boundaries further into this industry, by not only hair styling, but also beating faces at events like fashion week.
